Finally, there is a significant opportunity in creating more sophisticated and integrated real-time observability platforms. As businesses build more of their operations on distributed, microservices-based architectures, understanding the health and performance of their systems becomes incredibly complex. A modern application generates a constant stream of observability data: logs, metrics, and traces. ESP is the perfect technology for ingesting and analyzing this data in real-time to provide a unified view of system health. The opportunity is to build platforms that can automatically correlate these different data streams to detect performance bottlenecks, identify the root cause of failures, and even predict potential outages before they happen. By providing this deep, real-time insight into the operational health of a company's digital infrastructure, ESP providers can move beyond business analytics and become a mission-critical tool for IT operations and site reliability engineering teams.
